Temporary Speaker, I beg to move that this House do agree with the report of the Committee of the whole House on its consideration of the Kenya National Council for Population and Development (National Assembly Bill No. 72 of 2023). This is a very important piece of legislation to set up the Kenya National Council for Population and Development. We have heard about it for many years, but it had been anchored on a legal notice. We are legislating so that we can set up the institution. This is a positive move. I thank the Committee, chaired by Hon. Kimani Kuria, for a good job. We now have a law that establishes this organisation. I love the transitional clauses. We pass some laws here which are eventually controversial in the sense that we do not know where the staff will go. This law is very solid. It will establish an organisation that will take the population matters in this country forward. On that note, Hon. But increasingly, as the Parliament is growing younger and more intellectual with greater capabilities, I see Members doing a lot more. And so, I just want to thank the Members."}]}
