  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I congratulate the team. This formula was protractedly negotiated. It is good and in force. I urge Hon. Members to support it. I want to emphasise one thing on the counties because we are having many problems in constituencies, especially in the healthcare system. They do not pay their fair share of supplies from the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA). KEMSA is on the verge of holding their distributions because of that. There are no medicines in health facilities such as Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 hospitals. I would like to ask the ... view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I think the concern of Hon. Duale is taken care of. When you specifically go on to say who should remain and who should go, then you will be drafting another Bill. So, instead of voting no, Hon. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor. view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: Duale, I think the Leader of the Majority Party has really explained. If you could withdraw, it will make it easy for us to move on. view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. First, I want to thank God for the gift of life, also the gift of health and all the providences that have managed me to be in this House. There are some things I have learnt from you and admire. One, is your patience and humour that has kept us going. You have also gone through free showers during those water bottles. You went through them all. As for the mastery of the Standing Orders, that has been amazing to me. I am challenged by the Standing Orders in Swahili. I am working on my Swahili. ... view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: Allow me to thank my party leader, Raila Amolo Odinga, who has been in and out of this House. He has fought liberation after liberation. For those who have the history of the institution of politics in this country, even if we are campaigning we have to have due respect to those who have fought for us so that we can speak and express ourselves. The champion of that is Raila Amolo Odinga, the incoming President of the Republic of Kenya. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can ... view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: I also want to acknowledge the Bill that has just been passed, on equitable share of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund for us. As one Member said here, we have suffered because Ndhiwa is three constituencies in one but we were getting funds at par with others. We have 240 schools while others have 40 schools and we have to look at all those. view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: Lastly, when I come back I will not call any MP a mono and I am happy I will also not be called a mono. We are honourable Members. That is on a light note. Sometimes they said it on a light note but that language will go so that we can usher in the decorum we deserve. view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, and I wish all colleagues the best. May God bless you all. view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I support. When rules do not follow the laid down rules, that is an offence. The scrap metal issue needs to be revisited, especially when it comes to vandalism and illegal trade. We urge the Executive and Parliament to look into this matter and strengthen the law regarding the trade. I commend the Committee, the Chair and the Members in the annulment of these Rules. I support. view
