"content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, she has talked about the Nanyuki Accord. However, it was quite clear, from the Statement that I requested in this House, that I was not referring to the Nanyuki Accord. I was referring to a meeting which we held in the Harambee House between the leadership of Isiolo County, the Vice Chairperson, Senators, governors and Members of Parliament (MPs) from Isiolo and Meru counties. We agreed that both the Governor for Meru and Isiolo counties would pay for two surveyors each to mark the boundary. The Office of the President was to provide the chairmanship and security for the boundary to be marked. Our Governor has identified two surveyors while the Governor for Isiolo County has not. The Cabinet Secretary (CS) had not facilitated in terms of security for the boundary to be marked. That is what I requested for from this House. However, the Vice Chairperson is talking about the Nanyuki Accord which was signed over one year before our meeting and she knows that. She is bringing that Statement here while she knows that it is false. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, could I request, in the spirit of the answer to the previous question, that when she is accompanied by her Chairman to see the CS, they should fix another appointment where the Chairman and Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Security and Foreign Relations should be present? The same leaders of Meru and Isiolo counties, who were in the previous meeting, should have another meeting at Harambee House. The CS should then tell us why they refused to have the surveyors mark the boundary because that is what the leadership agreed on. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, it is as simple as that. Could she undertake to do that?"
