    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I rise to support the Bill. From the outset, I want to say that the fight against corruption cannot be confined solely to the commissioners and the secretariat. It is a duty for all of us, as leaders of this country, to join forces with all the officers who are trying to end the fight on corruption. If you look at how most of the corruption cases are being handled, you will realize many politicians in senior positions are selective in their comments on those cases. In the case of Mumias, we lack political goodwill. And although the law is in place, it is weak. I hope that the proposed amendments will give teeth to the Commission and the Secretariat to move forth and in the right direction to ensure that, at least, there is a leeway in bringing to book those guys busy ruining our culture and our country through theft of public resources. I support."
