    "content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. May I also take this opportunity to welcome members from Vihiga County Assembly. It is unfortunate that they came at a time that we had some issues among ourselves. However, they must be learning a lot. I hope they know that we, as the Senate, are here for them since we represent counties. We believe that they will deliver to the people of this country because we want devolution to succeed. It will not, if they will not be alert. No wonder my fellow Senator from Vihiga County was very much alert talking about parties. In the Committees, we do not work on the basis of our political parties, but we deal with issues pertaining to the people of this country. It was very unfortunate to mention political parties."
