"content": "Thank you. Mr. Speaker, Sir. I do not intend in any way to demean the legal or any other profession for that matter. Let me leave that since you have allowed me to do it. However, with regard to Standing Order No. 25(1), all I want to stay is that the Speaker’s Office is an institution and runs the institution of Parliament. An institution of Parliament, though headed by the Speaker, has the wings that form the majority and minority leadership. Therefore, it only adds value. Standing Order No.25(1), “at your discretion”, only helps to portray a better image in terms of working together. Therefore, it is important as clearly spelt by the Senate Minority Leader."
