    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I want to make reference to Standing Order No. 81 and I want you to make a ruling on this because the Standing Order is very clear on the language that we are allowed to use. For the avoidance of doubt, allow me to read. Standing Order No. 81 says:- “All proceedings of the Senate shall be conducted in Kiswahili, English or in Kenyan sign language”. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, that Standing Order is very explicit and clear. I would not be allowed to give an adage in my local native language and then again give you the benefit of translating, since you do not have the benefit of knowing exactly what I stated. So, I could as well say something negative and translate it by myself. Since this is contained in our Standing Orders, I want you to rule whether it is still in order that we allow the use of any other language in the Senate. Thank you."
