    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.45(2)(b) to seek a statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Land and Natural Resources regarding weather forecast issued by the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD). In the statement, the Chairperson should state:- (1) The methodology used by the KMD to get the weather forecast and whether the methodology conforms with the established global standards. (2) Whether the KMD is well equipped and has adequate infrastructure and manpower to give reliable forecasts. (3) The credibility of the forecast issued by the institution, including the El nino forecast last year."
