As the Committee considers this, it should also look at the agencies that are bestowed with the responsibility of caring for the environment and how soil and other wastes are managed so that it can be more inclusive in terms of what is happening at the end of the day. In fact, we have had incidents of dumping of both waste and soil when there is construction even in Meru Town. Maybe the Committee should ask how the National Environment and Management Authority (NEMA) handles its responsibility that has been bestowed to it by this House through legislation. Thank you."
