    "content": "I also take into consideration the cost involved because I have seen it practically. Sometimes it costs over Ksh1 million to aid a cancer patient. If you consider that about 80,000 people seek financial assistance for cancer treatment each year, you will realise that we are losing a lot of money as an economy. Despite losing so much money, families continue to suffer from depression, anxiety and stigma. Most of the people suffering from cancer are young people with high potential to contribute to the growth of our country. Some are professionals who are working for the welfare of this country while others are already in business. Once they get this disease, they travel out of the country to seek treatment. While outside the country, they spend a lot of money, in effect, exporting so much foreign currency that we need to save in order to avoid trade deficit."
