Speaker, I beg to give notice of the following Motion: THAT, this House adopts the Report of the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security on the vetting of Lt. Col. (Rtd) Julius Ayub Githiri, nominee for the appointment to the position of Chairperson of the Board of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA), laid on the Table of the House on Tuesday, 15th November 2016 and pursuant to the provisions of Section 8 of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, 2011 and Standing Order No.45 the House approves the appointment of Lt. Col. (Rtd) Julius Ayub Githiri as the Chairperson of the Board of NACADA."
