Therefore, I am lost on what other statement he seeks other than to know that the matter was dropped by the Committee. Secondly, that matter has now been overtaken by time. The horse has already bolted and I would encourage him to keep pursuing that issue as we move towards the next financial year. Of course, in line with the spirit of the handshake, revenues are bound to perform much better than they did last year. It must not be lost on us honestly that it is political parties in this country that got this country to where we are as a country economically. Therefore, let us also bear with the situation as it is even as I encourage Hon Anthony Oluoch. I know he is a very active member of his political party just like I am an active member of my political party and we are all interested parties in this matter. We have allocated adequate resources to enable these parties to continue operating as vibrant political parties. I am sure these Members are also contributing immensely to their respective political parties to enable them to continue running. However, I can assure Hon. Anthony Oluoch, even without having to go back to statements, that towards the next financial year, the National Treasury is working on ways and means to be able to raise adequate revenues that will ensure that political parties also get their share of the revenues as stipulated in the Constitution."
