  • 25 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to second the motion led by our Chair, Hon. David Pkosing. At the outset, I want to state that, first of all, when the Bill came to the House the first time, I was opposing it simply because I was really not for the idea that the position of the DG should be held by somebody else other than engineers. Personally, I am a civil engineer by profession and I know what being a director-general of a roads body entails. When the Chairman convened a meeting once ... view
  • 25 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Secondly, I want to talk about the years of experience that a director-general can qualify from 15 years currently in the Act to 10 years. This will just open the position to be very competitive. There is absolutely no problem in appointing a director-general who has experience of more than 20 or 30 years. What is in the law now is at least 15 years post-registration experience. I am an engineer. What does that mean? If you look at it critically, you cannot be a director-general in this body when you are not 45 or 50 years old. That is ... view
  • 11 Aug 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to also support this Bill. First of all, I thank the late Hon. Oroo Oyioka because of this well-thought out proposal. I also thank Hon. Wanga, the Chairlady of the Committee, for bringing up this matter. This issue of mobile money-lending applications is a serious concern out there for the people we represent, especially the young people. If you look at it, most of us are on Fuliza . You want to send money, but do not have enough, so, you find yourself on Fuliza . However, when you ... view

  • 10 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker for giving me this opportunity to join hands with Kenyans to eulogise our second President of the Republic of Kenya, Mzee Daniel Moi. Moi was a great man. He came to our constituency a long time ago. Being primary school pupils, we managed to rush to the road. We sang for President Moi and it was a very nice moment. He gave us Kshs10,000, which was a lot of money then. It was a wonderful experience. Moi loved peace. He managed to traverse this country in a vehicle. Rest in peace, Mzee Moi. The people of ... view
  • 7 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Speaker. I also rise to support the Motion. The world is changing a lot. The Motion comes in handy in that perspective to look at what is happening around the world. view

  • 7 Aug 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you. I support this amendment because pastoralists move from one county to another with their animals. When they move to another county and the census is conducted, the number that is captured in another county can be taken to their original county so that they can benefit from the Government. So, I fully support. view
