  • 16 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Lands:- (a) when the Government acquired the Mwariki Farm in Nakuru Town from Mwariki Farmers Company; (b) if he could table authentic documents of acquisition and state who the directors of the company are; and, (c) whether he could table all the documents of the company filed with the Registrar of Companies since its establishment to date. view
  • 16 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Assistant Minister for the answer. This farm has thousands of acres. The parcel of land he has referred to is just a small portion which houses the sewerage system for the Nakuru Town. I would like to know from the Minister why the farm, which numbers thousands of acres, is still under leasehold instead of freehold yet it is owned by a private company. Why can the Minister not release title deeds to the shareholders? He should October 16, 2007 PARLIAENTARY DEBATES 4469 also answer part "c" of my Question. view

  • 9 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to acknowledge that the Financial Year might be a bit premature, but that should not be reason enough to escape the substance of the Question. Why did the Ministries return monies to the Treasury? What practical measures has the Minister taken to streamline the financial management in this country, so that we spent money as we budgeted for? view
  • 9 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I was looking for the general reasons. view
  • 9 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, could the Minister assure this House that the measures he has put in place are going to work to ensure that this money; the Kshs18 billion, that he mentioned, will not be returned to the Treasury again? We have so many projects that have not been financed. We need the Ministry to prioritise their work, so that this money is not returned to the Treasury. view
