Temporary Deputy Speaker, pursuant to Standing Order No.44(2)(c) I wish to request a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing regarding fresh produce markets across the country that were built under the Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP), particularly the market at Ololua Trading Centre in Narok County. The construction of Ololua Trading Centre Market started almost seven years ago. It was funded by the defunct Ministry of Local Government. Actually, when you look at the eco-system where we are in, most of the animals are found within the conservancies. When you look at this Bill, it is only taking care of the animals within the parks, and it is not taking care of the animals which are within the conservancies. I actually said that this particular section should be deleted. view
