  • 13 Apr 2022 in National Assembly: I sought a Statement, but she never appeared. Naturally, when you bring a Petition to this House, it lapses after 60 days. After it lapsed, I never brought it back. At this moment, I thought it… view
  • 13 Apr 2022 in National Assembly: Yes, there was a Petition and then a Statement. The then Cabinet Secretary even visited the said land and nothing was done. The hopes of those affected were with this House. I do not know whether the Committee on Implementation is doing anything about those Petitions and Statements. • 29 Dec 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. Given the history of this country, this Bill is going to heal the problem that parties are facing. Having listened to what Hon. Duale said about the Registrar of Political Parties, I oppose the amendment. view

  • 1 Dec 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this moment to comment on the President’s Speech. I thank the President. Yesterday, he divided his Speech into three main themes: economic, social and political. The President spoke of his achievements. As I stand here, out of those gains, I am one of the happiest people. After the Nairobi Expressway from Mlolongo is completed, he said it will take about 22 minutes to be in this town. That is a tick. Secondly, the President was categorical about the road network, and water and electricity connectivity. He highlighted all the areas in ... view
  • 1 Dec 2021 in National Assembly: colleagues to look at the BBI as a development tool that will anchor all developments. For example, the increase of the share of national revenue for the counties from 15 per cent to 35 per cent would be anchored in law. This would ensure that successive governments do not operating on the whims of the president. We will avoid the winner-takes- all mentality. With those few remarks, I support the President’s Speech. I want to tell Kenyans to support President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta for the remaining time so that we reap a few more benefits. view

  • 11 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I have listened to the Report of the Committee on Implementation. I thank the Chair and Members of that Committee. Maybe, this House may not know the chronology of events and reasons why this Report had to be done. view
  • 11 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: London Distillers came after KMC and East Africa Portland. This is one of the oldest companies in Athi River. Sometimes, it becomes very difficult. As much as we want investments in this country, we must do some planning. The genesis of this problem came because a residential housing project was built next to the factory. The proprietors of the apartments brought this complaint to NEMA, to Parliament and everywhere. The reason was that there was a discharge from the factory. The Mavoko residents are asking: Who came first? Is it the factory or the residential apartments? When we look at ... view
