  • 13 May 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you Hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me this chance. The issue of climate change has really affected us; the people who live along the lake. Even today we have floods. For the people who live along the lake, another phenomenon is that the water is coming from the lake into people's homes. Our engineers have even failed to help us because they do not want to listen to locals for solutions. The meanders of the rivers should be drained. The rivers should be dredged because they have silted since the world was created. view
  • 13 May 2021 in National Assembly: Since the world was created nobody has ever de-silted the mouths of the rivers; the deltas into the lake. The water from the rivers does not move into the lake, instead it goes back and flows into people's homes. These are the issues affecting us because our engineers and the Ministry of water are asleep. view
  • 11 May 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. This is not the first time we are trying to regularise these Harambees . This is just another time that we are doing it. We hope that other Members of Parliament will not come and change the law. view

They receive it and they ... view

  • 18 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this chance. You and I are senior Members of this House. Hon. Speaker, you know what we used to do with your predecessors even during Moi’s time. Moi was a dictator but he would come and sit with Members of Parliament in a kamukunji . When an honourable Member suggested that we need the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury to come and talk to us, he had a reason for that. We are equally leaders and they are equally leaders where they are. Let them come and tell us the problem they ... view
  • 18 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: game. We cannot allow our Government to collapse, but the Government too must not allow us as Members to collapse. We cannot support them when they do not support us. As you have been told by Members, the only money that reaches the ground today is NG-CDF. Today schools have changed; they want everything from NG-CDF. We do not know where they take their money. The Ministry of Education is given money for development of infrastructure. However, all principals come to the NG-CDF to look for money. Therefore, this money from NG-CDF is important and is needed on the ground. ... view
