  • 25 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: I would like to clarify that I did not say that everyone is HIV positive, but only the culprits. If you see somebody running after and raping our children in schools, that person must be sick. He is either HIV positive or has a psychological problem. So, I did not say that all men are HIV positive but only the rapists who rape our children in schools. view
  • 25 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you and I support the Motion. view
  • 20 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I stand to support this Motion. When we attained Independence in 1963, we said that we were going to fight three things, namely, poverty, disease and ignorance. If our children are not getting the required food, ignorance will be our portion in Kenya. The Jubilee agenda is about four things and among them is universal healthcare and food security. For our children to achieve what is required in schools, we have to expand the homegrown school feeding programme (HGSFP), which was started in 2009. In our nation, there are areas experiencing food insecurity and ... view
  • 13 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: I support that amount meant for the State Department for Labour. There are a lot of industrial disputes. So, they can use the money to go to courts and what have you and supervise the staff under their department. Let them be given that money. There are a lot of industrial unrests in our universities. They are the ones who go to courts to attend to those disputes. view
  • 6 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to contribute on the Budget Estimates. view
  • 6 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, public participation in the budget- making process is important. We have been told 12 counties were covered during this process. I do not know the rationale and the logic that was used to select those counties. My prayer is that, in future, all the 47 counties should be covered because a bottom-up approach in development is important because the people are more informed. They should be given a chance to identify projects of their choice so that their needs are addressed. Our budget-making process should also be devolved to the counties. After the Budget is passed, ... view
  • 6 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: dependent on conducive living environment. In the recent past, we have seen quite a number of policemen who have killed themselves, their families or their colleagues. If we put up 20,000 houses for the police, we know they will not be living in the pathetic environments they are living in, in many areas in our country. We know they will be productive in what they are doing and we know their psychological wellbeing will be catered for. I applaud that and I say let more houses be put up for the police in the near future. We also need to ... view
  • 14 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: Mhe.
  • 14 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: zote.
  • 6 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I rise to support this Motion. We know that deforestation has a lot of side effects. We know about climate change. Kenya is a signatory to Kyoto Protocol. We have to follow and adhere to what we sign. I, therefore, support this Motion. Global warming will be an issue of the past if we plant trees in our learning institutions. We know the results, for instance, flooding in our coastal towns. We have to engage our students in our universities for internships and county governments can pay them. We will therefore be creating jobs for those ... view
