I rise to ask Question No. 24 of 2020 to the Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation: (i) Who are the direct beneficiaries of the water supply from Mwache Dam which was to be constructed by the national Government in Kwale County? (ii) Why were the residents of Kinango Constituency, where the dam is located, not considered as priority beneficiaries, and could the Ministry consider urgently providing water to the said residents? (iii) When will the residents of Mwache area in Kwale County, who were displaced to pave way for the construction of the dam by the national Government, be compensated for loss of land, crops and other properties?"
