    "content": "I, therefore, want to challenge the Chair of PAC, the Special Funds Accounts Committee and the Select Committee on Implementation, to ensure that the Registrar of Political Parties does her work to ensure that all political parties in this country, irrespective of whether a party is in power or not, are accountable to the Kenyan taxpayers. Long gone are the days when political parties were funded solely by contributions from members. They are now public entities and the reason why our 2010 Constitution allowed political parties to be funded by taxpayers was to enable our democracy to grow. Therefore, we can only be abdicating our responsibilities, as leaders in this House, to appropriate resources to political parties then allow people, as the Minority Whip was saying, to run political parties whimsically, the new vocabulary of using whims."
