    "content": "I also assure Members that we are exempting maize corn seeds from VAT because we want to cushion farmers from the high cost of maize seeds for sowing, particularly around this rainy season and bearing in mind the effects of the locust invasion and the floods. So, the Government will be losing in tax expenditure to the tune of about Kshs20 million by allowing these deductions.
