Senators, on Tuesday, 16th June, 2020, the Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights laid on the Table of the Senate the Report of the Committee on the Nomination of hon. Rachel Ameso Amollo for appointment as a non-member Commissioner to the Parliamentary Service Commission. The tabling of the report of the Standing Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights was done in fulfilment of Section 8 of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, and Standing Order No.71(1) and (3) of the Senate, following the submission to the Senate by the Parliamentary Service Commission of its report on the appointment of a Commissioner under Article 127(2)(d) of the Constitution and Section 9 of the Parliamentary Service Act on Tuesday, 2nd June, 2020.
