    "content": "Madam Deputy Speaker, I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No. 48 (1), rise to seek a Statement from the Ad-hoc Committee on the COVID-19 Situation in Kenya, concerning the usage of funds by the Taita/Taveta County Government, to manage the Covid-19 Pandemic. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Table in the Senate an itemized budget of the Taita/Taveta County Government for the fight against COVID-19 Pandemic in the county, indicating the source of the funds. This is given that some funds are coming from the county and some from the national Government COVID-19 response team; (2) Provide documentation relating to the tendering process, including the actual dates and the list of beneficiaries of such tenders; (3) Provide a list of all the suppliers, indicating the directors and the addressees of the respective companies contracted, services rendered and the amount paid; and, (4) State the number of beds isolated in readiness for admission of COVID-19 patients in the county, indicating their location.
