"content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker, for allowing me to also add my voice to this important Statement. Issues of land are very sensitive. Land is a constitutional right. For the Cabinet Secretary to have pronounced this, he should have first looked at who issued title deeds to those people. That is where he should have started from. The other issue is institutions that allowed those people to build on forest land. Most of the time land buyers become victims of failure of institutions. That is why we have people who were allowed to settle on land meant for sewerage for years. Why were they allowed to build on it and who allowed them to be given title deeds for land that was supposed to be used for a sewerage system? The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate."
