Speaker, I beg to move the following Procedural Motion: THAT, notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order No.120, this House resolves to reduce the publication period of the Appropriation Bill (National Assembly Bill No.19 of 2020) from seven days to four days. Hon. Speaker, the Appropriation Bill, No.19 of 2020, is basically the Bill which will enable the Government to spend money from July, 2020. The import of reducing the publication period from seven days to four days is to enable us to process this Bill before 30th June, which comes next week. If we do not reduce the publication period for this Bill, it basically means that the Government, including this Assembly, constitutional offices and independent commissions will not be able to spend money come 1st July 2020. Hon. Speaker, I beg to move and request the Leader of the Majority Party, Hon. Amos Kimunya, to second."
