"content": " Hon. Speaker, pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order No.44(2)(a), I rise to give the following Statement on behalf of the HBC which met on Wednesday, 13th October 2020, to prioritise business for consideration. As Members are aware, the House is scheduled to proceed on a short recess commencing tomorrow, basically at the end of today, in accordance with the calendar of the House as amended on Tuesday, 30th June 2020. In this regard, the HBC has not scheduled any business for next week. However, upon resumption from recess on Tuesday, 3rd November 2020 at 2.30 p.m. the following Business will be prioritised: (i) Sessional Paper No.2 of 2019 on the National Policy on Gender and Development; (ii) Sessional Paper No.3 of 2019 on the National Policy for eradication of Female Genital Mutilation; (iii) The County Governments (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bill No.13 of 2018); (iv) The County Statutory Instruments Bill (Senate Bill No.21 of 2018) (v) The Statutory Instruments (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bill No.24 of 2018); and, (vi) The Impeachment Procedure Bill (Senate Bill No.15 of 2018) and any other listed business today which will not be completed, will then be carried forward to that week. Hon. Speaker, currently there are no Questions scheduled for reply. But the House will be updated on this when we resume the sittings. The HBC will reconvene on Wednesday, 4th November 2020 to schedule business for the week thereafter."
