    "content": "It is with this background that I seek a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security on the following: (i) What are the circumstances that led to the freezing of recruitment and hiring in the public service? (ii) State whether the freeze in recruitment and hiring affects independent offices, commissions and State corporations such as the Kenya Revenue Authority. (iii) State whether the freeze will affect the ongoing recruitment process in the public sector. (iv) What specific mitigation measures are in place to replace public servants who have left the service on account of natural attrition in the last 20 years? Thank you."
