    "content": "The Committee undertook pre-publication scrutiny on three legislative proposals which were referred to it, pursuant to Standing Order No.125(3)(a) of the Senate Standing Orders, namely- (1) The Draft Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, sponsored by Sen. (Dr.) Isaack Mwaura, CBS, MP; (2) The Draft Political Party Primaries Bill, sponsored by Sen. (Dr.) Isaack Mwaura, CBS, MP; and, (3) The Draft Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, sponsored by Sen. (Dr.) Michael Mbito, MP. The Committee proceeded to examine the said proposals against the criteria set out in the Standing Orders and invited the respective sponsors during consideration of the proposals by the Committee. Pursuant to Standing Order No. 125(3)(a) of the Senate Standing Orders, the Committee transmitted its comments to the Hon. Speaker of the Senate on 3rd July, 2020, 18th July, 2020, and 25th September, 2020, respectively."
