Temporary Deputy Speaker, I wish to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works the following Question: (i) Is the Cabinet Secretary aware that the road classified as C41 connecting Lurambi and Navakholo constituencies was swept away by heavy rains and landslides thus paralysing transport and communication between the two constituencies? (ii) What steps is the Cabinet Secretary taking to expedite the construction of the said road, and in particular the three-kilometre stretch from Lurambi to Shikoti and Ebumachembe which is in deplorable state? (iii) When is the construction of the road expected to commence and expected to be completed considering that the contractor left the site over one year ago? Thank you."
