"content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. It will not come as a surprise that I am supporting this Petition because from a long time ago, 2013, after the dispute on Konza City, it appeared to me that Article 188 needed to be put into effect. Secondly, the notion that counties do not have boundaries is not correct. They have boundaries. Any alteration follows the principles under Article 188. Article 188 confirms the boundaries of counties as the Districts and Provinces Act of 1992. Makueni County has an issue with Taita Taveta County. Their CECM Finance and Planning went to Mtito Andei and said and was quoted saying: “I am going to collect taxes from tomorrow.” The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
