"content": "I think this Committee did very well. In terms of legislation, because this is a House of legislation, we made sure that the Pandemic Response and Management Bill was developed in record time with one of the most comprehensive public participation ever given that it was done online. Also, we had a lot of submissions in this Chamber from different stakeholders. In my opinion, the Pandemic Response and Management Bill is one of the most participated in and the most comprehensive Bill that any House could have done. Unfortunately, this Bill is now gathering dust at the National Assembly having been declared a money Bill. However, this House has done and dispensed its duties with distinction once again. We kept our accountability to citizens through continuous media reports. If you recall, we braved the pandemic to come out here on the steps of this House to make sure we would give the nation a very comprehensive report as to where we are with the response of the pandemic, support of the vulnerable communities and frontline workers. We also give a report where we are with the response to social order, social justice and with our oversight. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, as you have been told, the Ninth Report had to do with counties. Our focus had shifted to counties and we visited some of them. Those counties were chosen for their vulnerability, for the questions that were before us as a House and for sampling. Therefore, a lot of consideration was made on that. The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate."
