    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I also rise to support the Motion that is before the House. This Committee was set up to act as a link on the oversight role and on how effective the Government has put in place measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. We all can take judicial notice of the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic is still causing serious negative effects on our country, including loss of lives. Today, we received reports that we have lost the dear lives of seven Kenyans, and 184 Kenyans have tested positive. Yesterday, we lost the dear lives of four Kenyans, and 151 Kenyans testing positive. That is evidence that COVID-19 pandemic is still with us and we still need to put the Government on toes, to tell us, as the people’s representatives, what measures we continue to put in place to effectively deal with this pandemic.
