The infrastructure of the health sector should be buttressed by the level of the community primary health situation. You have seen that since the COVID-19 protocols were introduced where we wash our hands, keep social distances and wear masks, certain common diseases are no more. People have stopped going to hospitals for basic ailments. It means that we need a level at the community that will just help people understand some of these basic things. . Madam Temporary Speaker, I am a product of a parent who used to be a community health worker. My father was the first in the category called the dresser those days. It was on the same level as the community health worker. They were trained to identify health issues and dispense certain basic drugs. He is the first person to introduce modern medicine in Kacheliba Constituency.
