"content": "The Member is right because he is following up on those pledges. There are three crops in this country which are politically sensitive. They are maize, miraa and sugar. I can give my history that miraa also gave us a problem when we were passing the defence agreement between Britain and Kenya. In fact, Hon. Kajuju was the only Member who was allowed to form a select committee in the 11th Parliament. This House has a moral duty. Why did Somalia and the British Government stop miraa? This is because they want to protect their people. There are those of us in this House who are producers and consumers.
