    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.48 (1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, concerning the state and operations of Nzoia Sugar Company. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Explain the reasons for the dissolution for the Board of Directors of Nzoia Sugar Company on 3rd August 2020. (2) Explain the reasons for the delay in the constitution of the Board and when a new one will be constituted. (3) Explain measures put in place, if any, to ensure smooth operations of the company, especially on matters regarding the approval of management decisions, policy directions and responsibility in oversight in the absence of the Board of Directors.
