    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, the issue of the sugar belt along the lower parts of Rift Valley and the regions, including where you come from, is the backbone of our livelihood as a people. The State has continued to disregard those farmers. It left them to the sharks who imported sugar into the country and ensured that their crop continued rotting in fields. With the intended leasing of sugarcane factories, it is important that Parliament which represents the people be brought into the full attention of the details concerning this sale."
