    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.48(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Energy regarding the mass electricity blackouts in Nandi County due to several faulty transformers. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Explain why Nandi County is facing massive electricity blackouts caused by alleged faulty transformers. (2) Explain why KP has failed to reinstall electricity connections in most areas that are experiencing faulty transformers despite several complaints by the resident of Nandi County. (3) State the major reasons that have caused the massive faulty transformers totalling to 76 transformers awaiting repairs/replacement across Nandi County. (4) Explain what action the Ministry of Energy is putting in place, if any, to curb the rising cases of faulty transformers in Nandi County and other parts of the country that takes several months to replace yet Kenyans are have paid for the services. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have a second Statement."
