As much as the Government is keen on protecting animals, it is also important that they take into account the interests of the people who live around there when it comes to pasture and other benefits that should accrue to the community. The same should happen in communities that live around forests. Their crops are destroyed by animals from the forests. The animals are chased away by askaris, but the welfare of the communities is not well taken care of. The Government should look for a way of protecting the interests of the people who live around national parks and forests, so that they live in harmony with the animals."
