Deputy Speaker, I rise to ask a Question which is directed to the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works: (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary provide the ownership, status and size of the land under Marikiti Market which is also known as Wakulima Market? (ii) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain why occupants of the said land and traders in the market were evicted and their property burnt on 7thAugust 2020? (iii) Could the Cabinet Secretary consider ensuring that the occupants and traders who lost their property during the evictions attributable to actions by staff or agents of Kenya Railways Corporation are compensated?"
