    "content": "Thank you Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me an opportunity to add my voice on this very important Bill. We have seen how cancer has continued killing our people and we have also seen how cancer has continued raising our poverty levels because of the huge bills cancer patients incur on treatment. I am happy we are discussing this Bill today because it is really timely. On that note, I wish to really congratulate Hon. Gladys Wanga for bringing it here. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, it is really sad that in this century, as a country, we have very few oncologists and healthcare providers for cancer treatment. I listened carefully while Hon. Wanga was moving this Bill and it is really shocking that we have very few of them. Therefore, I really want to support that it is time that we trained more of these healthcare providers and oncologists. In addition, I also want to support that we should include cancer treatment as part of the primary healthcare provisions. Moreover, I also want to say I am proud to be discussing this Bill because I am one of the people who have lost a close family member. Last year, I lost my father due to cancer-related issues.
