"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, you need to take this thing very seriously. It started way before with Sen. Cherargei, then moved to Sen. Kihika being denied security, then moved to me. When I was removed as the Senate Majority Leader, my security was withdrawn. I had to call the President himself to return it. It went to Sen. Sakaja; he was arrested. We then came here and laughed and are still joking across the country that it has something to do with the Ladies Lounge. It moved from there and went to the three Senators. Mr. Speaker, Sir, it becomes that story of the German priest who said, “First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.” The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate."
