We confirmed that the Ministry was allocated Kshs10 billion for the purpose of cushioning the elderly citizens, orphans and other vulnerable members of the society from the effects of Covid- 19 Pandemic. The funds were made available during the second Supplementary Budget in the 2019/2020 Financial Year that was appropriated in March 2020.
