Deputy Speaker, I rise to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works the following Question: (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain why there have been inordinate delays in the construction of Miathane-Mikinduri Road in Tigania West Constituency? (ii) Could the Cabinet Secretary consider either ensuring waiver or payment of the Kshs1,200,000 fee levied to the Kenya Roads Rural Roads Authority by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry as compensation for the forest resources to enable the contractor to continue with the construction of the said road? (iii)When will the Ministry allocate funds to ensure that the two-kilometre road left out in between the two tarmacked sections of this road is constructed?"
