I want to support a Member who came up with the idea that parastatals need not do business. Business should be left for the private sector. Look at our sugar industries, for example. The unfortunate thing is that we embrace politics in parastatal. When a parastatal wants to be privatised we play politicise on it for years. The Government, for example, has always wanted to privatise the sugar industry but has been blocked by the politics. In the process our people have suffered.
