    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. When the Senate Bills No. 27 and 25 were remitted to the House and my Committee, there was no report on public participation. Consequently, we requested the Clerk to advertise for public participation on 11th March this year and 30th June this year respectively. This has been done. No reports on public participation and no response has been received by my Committee. Consequently, my Committee will now sit to consider these two Bills and then give a report to this House. So, I am asking for two weeks to enable my Committee deliberate and give a report to this House. Again, if you allow me, this is the first time I am representing my Committee in this House. I wish to thank the leadership of the House, the Speaker and my colleagues for bestowing this responsibility on me, my Vice Chair and my Committee. Secondly, I thank the previous Chair, Hon. Cheptumo, for steering the Committee for the last two years or so. Finally, I assure and allay fears expressed by my colleague, Member for Alego-Usonga, the other day. He was alluding to age. I want to remind him that in a Committee like this, the older you are, I can assure him, the more experience and wisdom is obtained.
