    "content": "Riparian areas or land refers to a terrain that is adjacent to rivers and streams and subject to periodic or occasional flooding. The plant species that grow in the riparian areas are adapted to tolerate conditions of periodic waterlogged soils. For all riparian wetlands in the field, these zones of moisture and vegetation gradients occur in an overlapping, intergrading fashion, and the plant species are distributed in varying degrees throughout the riparian zone."
