I also thank the High Court for this great ruling. It is a landmark ruling and it has placed the Senate in its rightful place as the ‘upper’ House. It has brought respect to this House and order to Parliament with regard to how Bills are processed. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I will be very brief. My comment will be on only one thing. I think we need to have a way of ensuring that a certificate is presented to the President before he assents to any Bill."
