"content": "Secondly, I thank our Senior Counsel, Sen. Orengo, Sen. Omogeni and Sen. Mutula Kilonzo Jnr., and the Senate Committee on Justice, Legal Affair and Human Rights for work well done. This is historic, particularly bearing in mind that up to 24 Bills have been set aside. This is not lost. I think we are ready to reprocess some of the Bills. I was able to look at some of the Bills and as the Chair of the Committee on Education, I have identified one that we can still reprocess. I have read through it and seen some amendments that could be added. We can take up those Bills and pass them as soon as possible. Those 24 Bills were very important and speaking to vey many issues, including Huduma Namba and other important issues touching the people of this country. I think the ruling has restated to all and sundry that Kenya has a bicameral Parliament despite the fact that the National Assembly has been trying to look down upon the Senate. This is high time that they should be able to note that the National Assembly as well as the Senate are people's representatives. All of us carry a complimentary role and each House should be given the recognition it deserves."
