"content": "Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker. I would also like to add my voice to the issue of lead paints and congratulate Sen. (Dr.) Mbito for bringing this up. The people who have the highest risk of lead poisoning are children and pregnant women. As you know, children have a very high hand to mouth activity. They chew on everything. If you have any paint that has more than 0.009 per cent of lead in the home, it can cause behavioral as well as intellectual disturbances for children and mothers. We are asking ourselves why cancer and behavioral problems are so prevalent. I am actually surprised.
