I stand pursuant to Standing Order No.51 (1) (b) of the Senate Standing Orders to make a Statement relating to the activities of the Sessional Committee on Delegated Legislation from 6th May, 2020 to 4th November, 2020. The Sessional Committee on Delegated Legislation is established under Standing Order No.221 of the Senate Standing Orders. The Committee is mandated to scrutinize statutory instruments laid before the House to ensure that they are consistent with the provisions of the Statutory Instruments Act, 2013. During the review period, the Committee held 64 meetings, during which we considered 25 draft and published statutory instruments, including regulations, orders and rules as follows-"
